Dog thief detained

A MAN has been detained for stealing five bulldogs valued at more than 500,000 yuan (US$78,000) from a pet shop in Qingpu District, police said yesterday. The theft happened in September. The suspect is called Wang and he was detained after police got a tip-off from a woman who claimed he didn’t return her lost husky as promised.
