Drunk air passenger attacked police officer
A DRUNK man who attacked a police officer after being stopped from boarding a plane at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport has received four months’ detention, Changning District People’s Court said.
The man, surnamed Wang, was seen to be drunk when about to board a flight to Guangzhou, in southern province Guangdong, at around 10:45pm on January 6, and stopped by airport staff. He then argued with staff, delaying the flight. When police arrived to take Wang away, he struck an officer on the face with a portable charging unit. Wang was caught at the scene.
