Ex-US firefighter helps rescue 4 victims of highway crash
AN expat helped rescue four people injured in a car that collided with two trucks at the exit of an expressway this afternoon, and police reminded drivers to avoid the expressway due to severe congestion.
The accident happened around 2pm at the Jiasong Road N. exit of the G1501 (A30) expressway. The expat, who worked in Taicang city, Jiangsu Province, left the scene after helping rescue the victims, xinmin.com reported.
The crash scene was cordoned off and police said drivers should adjust their routes to avoid the area.
The expat is identified as Tommy Patton, who used to be a firefighter in the United States, according to xinmin.cn.
