Exhibition focuses on children鈥檚 lifestyles
AN event focusing on what children see, hear, eat, read and play with will take centre stage at the Shanghai Exhibition Center from July 7-10.
“Lifestyle is a broad concept. We hope that the exhibition can provide sufficient ideas and information for parents wanting to learn how to participate in their children’s growth,” said Xia Yongqiang, general manager of Shanghai International Peace Culture Industry Company, an organizer of the event, which will showcase the latest in health, books, art and parent-child education.
Children and their parents will get a chance to see what the future holds when they explore the “Future Library”, “Future Museum” and “Future Art Gallery.”
Theatrical productions, performances by dance troupes and other entertainment activities such as parent-child games will run alongside forums examining culture, education and health issues.
A number of organizations will participate in the Shanghai International Children’ Lifestyle Exhibition, including the International Peace Maternity & Child Health Hospital, Shanghai Children’s Theater, Soong Ching Ling Kindergarten and Soong Ching Ling Children Development Center, as well as oversea companies such as Bayer.
Tickets can be purchased at www.gewara.com. The exhibition committee will donate 1 yuan锛15 US cents锛塼o the Left-behind Children Program charity from each ticket sold.
Meanwhile, The China Welfare Institute Children’s Palace will hold its free Children’s Day on May 28, 29 and June 1 (also open on May 31 in the morning only). Activities include stage performances by children, interactive science-related games and parent-child outdoor sports.
