Explore historic villas on cycling tour

XUHUI District government is offering a cycling tour of historic villas — complete with English-speaking guides — for next month’s National Day holiday.
The tour runs on October 4 and 5 and will take in Wukang Road, where many historic villas are found, plus Fuxing and Hengshan roads, the city’s major historic view protection zone, said Lin Fudong, director with the Xuhui District Tourism Administration.
It features bicycle lanes across some areas and riders can choose their route and stop to visit villas, Lin said.
Tickets cost 350 yuan (US$57) and include dinner at a restaurant on the route and a music night at a bar.
“Our guides can provide English introductions on these historic buildings for visitors,” Lin told Shanghai Daily.
