Fake guns, dangerous goods seized after raid

POLICE said yesterday they seized illegal imitation guns, knife and other dangerous goods during an overnight  crackdown earlier this week in different parts of the city.

They raided stalls selling fireworks, small and medium-sized eateries, metal processing, building material, chemical,  commodity and farm produce markets.

During a raid on an illegal liquefied petroleum gas distributor on Taihe Road in Baoshan District, police seized 359 gas cylinders.

Three packets of suspected drugs were found in a car which was parked near the intersection of Yan’an Road W. and Wulumuqi Road N. in Jing’an District.

Police found the driver, surnamed Zhao, was a drug addict. A urine test later confirmed Zhao was under the influence of drugs.

Four people were detained and a knife seized after they were involved in a fight on Yindu Road in Minhang District.
