Family day hits all the right notes

WITH dazzling song-and-dance troupes, colorful clowns, dextrous balloon benders, lucky prize draws and even Shanghai’s answer to One Direction, there was something for everyone at Cosmo Carnival 2015.
Held on Saturday at The Place shopping center in Changning District, the family-focused event was jointly hosted by Shanghai Daily and International Channel Shanghai.
One of the highlights on the live stage came from local boy band Monday Solution, while there was no shortage of people keen to watch the Cosplay show or fling themselves around on the bouncy castle.
Those with less energy — but just as much enthusiasm — meanwhile went in search of their personal slice of carnival contentment at the veritable smorgasbord of food kiosks, souvenir stalls, and arts and crafts booths.
