Fatal fight over fireworks

A man accused of beating another man to death in a fight over fireworks on February 7 is facing a charge of intentional injury, Jiading District prosecutors said yesterday.
The alleged victim, identified as Zhou Wu, quarreled over firework placings with a Jiading resident, surnamed Ren, and a fight ensued. Ren called his son, identified as Ren Cong, for help.
Prosecutors said the younger Ren then beat Zhou on the head and breast, causing him to fall into a coma. Zhou was pronounced dead several days later.
