TAXIS in Fengxian District raised the fares for night rides and for those longer than 10 kilometers from yesterday. The starting fare for a ride from 11pm to 5am was raised to 13 yuan (US$2.14) from the previous 11 yuan, while the following charge for every kilometer after the starting 3km was adjusted to 2.88 yuan from 2.4 yuan. Passengers will be charged 3.12 yuan for every kilometer after 10km.
