POOR and disadvantaged families across the city will be given Spring Festival subsidies over the coming days, civil affairs authorities said yesterday.
The payments, which range from 50 (US$8) to 550 yuan per person, will be made to families on low incomes, and those whose members are either disabled or unemployed. Families living in rescue stations will also be eligible for the subsidies, officials said.
