A woman who assaulted a man with a high-heeled shoe on a subway train has been given a fine and an administrative detention, xinmin.cn reported.

The attack happened after the pair argued on a Line 8 train during the Tuesday morning rush hour.

The woman, surnamed Sun, took off her shoe and began hitting the man on the head, causing him to bleed, police said.
