Food Prices Caught In Chilly Fallout

VEGETABLES, pork and aquatic products prices have risen across the country in the wake of the big chill.

The cost of vegetables has risen for four straight days because of the bad weather, according to the country's price-monitoring system on agricultural products.

Thirteen varieties of vegetables had a daily price rise by 1 to 4 percent, it said. With more snow in many parts of the country, price rises are expected to continue.
