Food complaints up
THERE has been a rise in complaints over fresh foodstuff and imported food, the Shanghai Consumer Rights Protection Commission said yesterday. Fresh food deteriorating faster and imported food without Chinese tags were the most common problems last month. The commission received 654 complaints about food, up 37.97 percent from last year. Complaints about poor repairs of home appliances also soared which was about five times that of the same month last year, it said.
