Former football star arrested for brawl

A FORMER national football player and two of his companions who beat up a local taxi driver has been officially arrested for intentional injury, the Huangpu District People’s Procuratorate said yesterday.
Gao Feng, 43, who retired from football in 2003, was reportedly drunk and under the influence of drugs when he got into an argument with the taxi driver on March 9. He confessed to police that he took methamphetamine. Witnesses said Gao beat up the driver following an argument. He later trashed some of the properties of a hotel.
