THE Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court yesterday sentenced Chen Shiming, an auction company employee, to three years' prison with five years' probation for fraud.
Chen helped Fang Defu pass off 216 modern porcelains as antiques from the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Fang sold the porcelains for 581,000 yuan (US$85,029) and Chen received 117,000 yuan.
