Free Services Mark Consumers' Rights Day

TO mark World Consumer Rights Day today the Shanghai Committee of Consumers' Rights and Interests Protection has organized several free services.
Electric appliances companies are to provide free water-heater checks and repairs from today to April 30. Consumers can book the service by calling 4008-365-365 between 9am to 6pm.
Water heaters in use for more than eight years will qualify for a subsidy against the price of a new one. There will also be free repairs on air-conditioners in use for more than five years.
The committee will be advising consumers at several city locations today, such as on the third floor of the Super Grand Mall in the Pudong New Area, the underground square at Wujiaochang in Yangpu District and Shanghai South Railway Station.
Sites concerning insurance will be set up at Bund 17, and one for health at Parkson Plaza on Huaihuai Road M.
