Gold chains stolen

A THIEF who stole two gold chains from a jewelry store in Jiading District yesterday afternoon is being hunted by police. The two chains are worth about 50,000 yuan (US$8,150), according to xinmin.cn. The thief pretended to be interested in buying the chains at the shop on Fengzhuang Road, putting on one and examining another about 3pm. When the saleswoman’s attention was distracted, he rushed out of the door with the chains. He is described as being in his 20s and 170 centimeters tall.
