A LEADING real estate agency that harassed a would-be landlord by telephone and text message was yesterday ordered to make a written apology and pay 100 yuan (US$15) compensation. This is the city's first case involving text and phone call harassment, judges of the Pudong New Area People's Court said. The plaintiff, Wang Baiming, had asked Shanghai Centaline Property Consultants Company to pay him 1 yuan in compensation for mental anguish. The company also offered to compensate his telecom costs.
