HAZARDOUS chemicals were recently found by police in a home in Yexie Village, in Songjiang District, jfdaily.com has reported. One person was detained for five days for the illegal storage of hazardous substances in a residential area. The involved enterprise, which was not named, was not qualified for the hazardous substances business, said officials. The chemicals, including unsaturated polyester resins and curing agents, were confiscated by the local work safety authority.
