Hazards spotted early

A TOTAL of 4,776 safety hazards have been spotted during a citywide inspection of hazardous chemicals, while 98.3 percent, or 4,696 of them, have been rectified, the city’s work safety watchdog said yesterday. The inspection covered 104 enterprises and 2,896 oil and gas tanks. Seven enterprises working out of illegal buildings in Heqing Town, Pudong New Area, have been closed.
