A PHOTOGRAPHIC trip down memory lane and an exhibition of contemporary artists are among city events marking China’s national Cultural Heritage Day on June 14.
The Shanghai Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV said this year’s celebrations will feature a free exhibition of contemporary artists from June 8 to 22 at Changning District Library. And on June 14, a nostalgic photographic exhibition featuring the charm and rich life in the city’s distinctive shikumen lanes will be hosted by Sichuan Road N. Park. Visitors will be offered an authentic recreation of a shikumen family home, complete with scenes showing how a typical family lived in Shanghai decades ago.
