Hole halts public bus

A public bus was stuck on Dongchang Road yesterday afternoon after its tire lodged in a hole in the road’s surface. The depression measured roughly 50cm in diameter. According to a newsstand employee on Dongchang Road, the Xinchuan Line bus came to a sudden halt after it made a right turn from Pudong Road S. No injuries were reported by passengers on the bus. It took road maintenance workers half an hour to lift the bus out of the hole. The hole was later fenced off.
