Holiday consumer complaints

POOR catering and accommodation topped the list of consumer complaints during the Spring Festival holiday.

Most involved hotel reservations, poor restaurant service and food delivery delays from online platforms, Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau said.

It received 107 complaints from consumers who said they were unhappy with food or accommodation, a rise of 32 percent over last year.

In total, the bureau received 778 complaints during the holiday, a rise of 21 percent over last year.
