Hongqiao tunnels

A network of tunnels that will link office buildings with shopping malls and residential communities in Hongqiao area will be completed by the end of 2020, the Changning District government said yesterday.
The first phase of the underground network will see pedestrians linked between Loushanguan Road Station on Metro Line 2 and office and commercial complexes such as the Soho Tianshan Plaza, The Place and L’Avenue. It will open by the end of 2017.
The full project will allow residents living in the Gubei International Community to walk through the commercial facilities on Tianshan Road. The Hongqiao commercial area has over 550,000 square meters of commercial facilities.
