Illegal cash hoards found

NINE cases involving people taking cash into or out of the country illegally have been uncovered since January 1. City’s customs officials said the amounts totaled nearly 4.7 million yuan (US$684,000), 78 percent of it either US dollars or Japanese yen.
According to Chinese regulations, tourists are limited to 20,000 yuan traveling inbound or outbound.
