Illegal lane changers

SHANGHAI Traffic Police yesterday said it has intensified its crackdown on motorists who change lanes illegally on the city’s elevated roads.
Thanks to nine additional traffic police cameras installed in places where illegal lane changing is common, about 600 drivers have been fined since July.
The new cameras were placed in locations including the Huashan Road off-ramp of the Yan’an Elevated Road, and the entrance to the Yan’an Road W. Overpass of the Inner Ring Road.
At the Hongmei Overpass of the Humin Elevated Road yesterday morning, three drivers were caught within half an hour.
