LIU Xianhui, a man who tried to kill his wife after she asked for a divorce, was jailed for three years with probation of three years for attempted murder yesterday by the Yangpu District People's Court.
On October 6, 2008, Liu tried to stab Li Yujuan when they were at the district's marriage registration center to carry out divorce proceedings. Li was only slightly injured.
