Jiading official linked to corruption case

A district disciplinary official was charged with graft by procurators in the Pudong New Area, Shanghai People’s Procuratorate announced yesterday.
Chen Hongfei, former deputy director of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Jiading District, was charged with taking advantage of his position to help others and taking more than 1.1 million yuan (US$177,430) in bribes, procurators said after the investigation. The trial will be held by Pudong New Area People’s Court.
