Keep your brollies and sweaters handy
ANOTHER wet day is on the cards today, though it should feel slightly warmer, forecasters said yesterday.
The rain will be quite heavy for most of the day, with up to 10 millimeters expected to fall per hour between midnight and early afternoon, before fading away in the evening, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.
Western and southern parts of the city will be the worst affected, it said, adding that commuters should allow themselves extra time to get to work.
The mercury is expected to range between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius over the course of the day, before falling overnight. Tomorrow will be drier, but windy and colder, with the high unlikely to break 12 degrees, the bureau said.
The weekend is expected to be slightly colder still, with intermittent rain, it said.
Today’s air quality should be good, though this too will worsen tomorrow.
