Killer drunk driver jailed

A WOMAN drunk driver who killed a cyclist has been sentenced to one year in jail, the Songjiang District Prosecutors’ Office said yesterday. The cyclist, a sanitation worker, was reportedly cycling in a lane designated for motor vehicles when the crash happened. The driver, surnamed Min, was traveling to friend’s house after drinking and was planning to go to a party. She saw the cyclist too late and struck the bicycle. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
