Knife-wielding man kills woman after chasing her from Xujiahui shop
A woman was stabbed to death this morning by a man believed to be her boyfriend after he brandished a kitchen knife and chased from the nail studio where she worked in Xujiahui, according to xinmin.cn.
The woman was killed in the corridor on the 32nd floor of a high-rise on 325 Tianyaoqiao Road, according to a report received by police at about 10 am.
The victim, a native of Hubei Province and born after 1980, died from blood loss due to injuries to the neck, the report said.
A security guard said the woman fled from the nail studio where she was a technician and was chased by her boyfriend, who was holding a kitchen knife.
She was stabbed in the neck and had begged for her life, nearby neighbors said.
Witnesses told the police there was blood on the floor and walls from the brutal killing.
A client of the nail shop told a reporter that the victim once said she was married and had a child. She also had a twin sister, the client said.
No further information was released about the suspect.
