LV wins compensation

TWO people were ordered to pay 750,000 yuan (US$122,000) in compensation to Louis Vuitton to cover economic losses after they infringed the company’s copyrights, the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court said yesterday. The defendants, surnamed Fan and Lin, were found guilty of selling a large number of cellphones and other products branded with Louis Vuitton’s “LV” trademark.
