Late arrival spells fine for air passenger

A MAN was fined 1,000 yuan (US$162) for breaking through airport immigration inspection to catch a train. The passenger, surnamed Wang, arrived at Pudong International Airport’s terminal 2 at 6pm on Sunday. Instead of lining up for inspection procedures, he tried to break through the barrier, claiming he was in a hurry to catch a train. Wang’s flight had been an hour late, airport police said. He had not planned enough time to reach Hongqiao Railway Station if there was a delay, and had lost his temper. Police said there were express lanes for such situations.
