Lawsuit on hold
A LAWSUIT between China International Fund Management Co Ltd and the widow of one of the firm's former investment executives over a property dispute was suspended yesterday over a question of jurisdiction. Sun Yanqun, 41, died of a stomach disease in July. After his death, the firm asked his widow to return property including an Audi sedan, a laptop and a cell phone. When she refused, the firm sued her in Putuo District People's Court.
The widow said she would return the property but needed time. She questioned the court's right to deal with the lawsuit since she now lived in Pudong.
