Lost boy back with family

A 12-year-old boy who got lost on the subway after going out alone was reunited with his parents after eight hours. The boy, surnamed Luo, told police he went out to play on the subway because he felt bored at home when his parents were at work. Luo got on Line 11 at Shanghai West Railway Station in Putuo District on Sunday and got off at Line 3 Shanghai South Railway Station in Xuhui District.

The boy was found crying alone by police at about 8pm, and said he couldn’t remember at which station he’d got on. He told officers that he had come from neighboring Anhui Province to visit his parents during the summer vacation, but he had little time with them as they were busy at work and left him at home. Luo’s parents had alerted police when they found their son missing after arriving home. The boy was reunited with his parents at 10pm on Sunday.
