Love cheat nabbed

A MAN alleged to be the leader of a gang that preyed on men in search of love in Ningbo, east China’s Zhejiang Province, was detained as he tried to leave Shanghai by train, local police said yesterday. The man, surnamed Bai, is suspected of collaborating with the owners of cafe in Ningbo to cheat men — who believed they were on dates — into overpaying for meals and drinks. Bai and his associates cheated about 60 men over a three-month period, generating more than 200,000 yuan.
