Love pact ends in court case

A LOVE pact between a middle-aged Chinese American and her young lover ended up in a court case over ownership of an apartment. Lawyers representing Yang Chung-Chih, 48, demanded the apartment back from Fu Zhouyu, 28, in Putuo District People's Court yesterday. Fu claims he is entitled to a share as he paid the mortgage on the apartment which was bought in his name.
The couple signed an agreement after buying the 1.42 million yuan (US$213,000) home in 2007, saying they would live there together and Fu would love and take care of Yang in return. Agreement was not reached yesterday.
