Man arrested for attempted murder in hammer attack on 2 foreign students

A MAN has been arrested for attempted murder after using a hammer to attack and injure two female foreign students near Shanghai University in Baoshan District, Laodong Daily reported.
The suspect, surnamed Hu, randomly struck the two women on the head, seriously injuring one, authorities said.
The students, one from France and the other Indonesia, aged 20 and 22, study at Shanghai University. Their current conditions were not disclosed.
Police said Hu, who has been diagnosed with slight mental retardation, had vented his anger on passersby after having a fight with others, the newspaper reported.
