Man calls police to confess to murders

A man in rural Fengxian District turned himself in to the police after allegedly killing his ex-wife and her mother yesterday morning, police said.
The suspect, surnamed Pan, called police at about 9:30am and claimed that he had committed the murders in an apartment on Touqiao Road E.
His ex-wife, surnamed Wei, and her mother, surnamed Fang, were found lying in a pool of blood with knife wounds in their necks when police arrived at the apartment.
Both were confirmed dead at the scene.
Pan confessed to police that he killed them during a row over money.
The investigation is still ongoing, said the police.
