Man commits suicide

A 50-year-old man jumped to his death yesterday from an apartment building in Huangpu District.
He had earlier quarrelled with a female neighbor and struck her on the head with a hammer, xinmin.cn reported. The woman’s injuries are not life-threatening, the report said. A witness said the pair had been arguing earlier in the day. Police are investigating.
