Man held for killing girlfriend after catching her with another man

A MAN has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend in a fit of anger after catching her with another person, the Baoshan People’s Procuratorate said.
The procuratorate said the man, identified as Xiao Hua, and his girlfriend, Xiao Xue, had been dating since May 2010 and moved in together in 2012. But due to frequent quarrels, Xiao Xue started to spent the night elsewhere since March this year.
An emotionally-disturbed Xiao Hua left for Shenzhen to take a break from everything. He told police he was back in the city on May 26 and was waiting for her in the room when he heard his girlfriend talking to another man and bringing him into their apartment.
He hid in the wardrobe from where he could hear Xiao Xue talk sweetly to her new lover.
A furious Xiao Hua got a fruit knife and first struck his wife’s lover in the stomach and at the back.
He then hit Xiao Xue and tried to strangulate her. She hit the floor in an unconscious state. Xiao Hua then dragged her to the window and threw her out from their sixth-floor apartment.
Xiao Xue was declared dead due to traumatic hypovolemic shock.
Police said when they arrived at the flat, they found Xiao Hua trying to commit suicide and sitting on the same window from where he had thrown his girlfriend.
