Man jailed for Metro line threats

A MAN was sentenced to 10 months in jail for threatening to blow up a Metro station, the Shanghai Railway Transport Court ruled yesterday.
The man, surnamed Wang, made terror-like threats online and in a call to the Metro operator.
The court heard that Wang, in a post on his microblog on April 14, threatened to blast a Metro line, and later called the Metro hotline to say he was targeting Meilan Lake Station on Metro Line 7. Police tracked down Wang at his residence in Baoshan Road.
