Man kills mother, sister over property dispute

A man yesterday handed himself in to police after stabbing to death his mother and twin sister over a property dispute.
The man, surnamed Zhou, went to the apartment on Jinyang Road in the Pudong New Area about 9:30am. After fatally stabbing the two women, he called police and confessed.
Police said later the 50-something Zhou is suffering from cancer and does not currently have a job. To raise money, he and his wife wanted to sell the apartment in which they lived. However, the property, which had been owned by Zhou’s father, was also partly owned by his sister who was against the sale.
