A MEXICAN citizen was refused entry into China’s mainland at Hongqiao Airport yesterday for failing to have the correct visa. The person, whose name was not released, claimed he had been granted a visa but that the pages of his passport containing it had been accidentally destroyed by ticketing staff in Macau, his place of departure. Immigration officials, however, did not believe the story and the person was refused entry.
