Man slaps woman over parking, gets 5 months
A local man who slapped a woman in a parking dispute, injuring her ear, was sentenced to five months in jail with a five-month reprieve, a Fengxian District court ruled recently.
The man, identified as by surname Chen, found a car parked in his way while driving to his home around noon on May 19, officials said. He got out of his sedan and, in anger, left a 10-centimeter scratch on the back of the car, according to the court.
The 18-year-old son of the parked car's owner saw what happened and did the same thing to Chen's car.
Chen’s mother saw what the teen did and told Chen, who rushed downstairs and got into a quarrel with the owner of the parked car, surnamed Zhu.
Chen then slapped the woman heavily as the dispute escalated, causing her injuries to her right ear, the court said.
Since Chen paid for Zhu’s medical expenses, the court sentenced him with a reprieve.
