Man surrenders after killing lover’s husband

A MAN surrendered himself to police for stabbing a man to death on Wednesday over a love affair. The 28-year-old suspect surnamed Qu visited a woman at her home around 9pm in Chuansha Town in the Pudong New Area. But a fight broke out between Qu and the woman’s husband surnamed Tao. During the argument, Qu stabbed Tao, who succumbed to the injuries later. A relative of Tao said the dispute was over a love affair.
Elsewhere, a 50-year-old woman surnamed Liu turned herself in to police in Jiading District after she killed her husband by throwing sulfuric acid on his face while he was sleeping. He died on his way to the hospital. A neighbor said Liu threw acid as she suspected her husband, surnamed Zhang, of having an affair.
