SHANGHAI Maritime Safety Administration is recruiting volunteers to build up a maritime rescue voluntary team (SMRV). The team will be under the management of the Shanghai Maritime Rescue Center, which will give training courses covering subjects such as basic rescue knowledge, communications, maritime culture and meteorology. The volunteers will then take part in maritime activities, including rescues. Applicants of any nationality aged over 18 are welcomed, said officials. They should email their resume and photograph to volunteer@shmsa.gov.cn.
