Master architect unveils plan
KENGO Kuma, the Japanese master architect behind the famous Taikoo Li Sanlitun shopping center in Beijing, arrived in the city yesterday to unveil his new design — a cultural and commercial complex in suburban Fengxian District.
The complex, called Chuanyuefang, which will be comprised of a book store, theatre, children’s entertainment and education venues, and office buildings, aims to become a landmark of southern Shanghai, combining culture, business and shopping. The construction of Chuanyuefang expected to be completed in 2018.
