McDonald's apologizes for expired chili sauce

McDonald's apologized to a customer today and said one of its employees had failed to follow required procedures after the person was served an expired sauce at an outlet in Shanghai’s Songjiang District on Saturday.
The person, who identified herself as Tiger-yan online, said the chili sauce with her chicken McNuggets had expired more than one month ago. She posted a picture of the expired sauce on her Weibo microblog.
McDonald's has apologized and said employee negligence was to blame.
The fast-food chain said it was a single case, adding it would enhance employee training to ensure proper procedures are followed in its restaurants.
