SEVENTEEN local doctors and nurses were among some 40 “excellent medical staff and teams” in the nation to be honored for their professional skills and care to patients by the central government.
Ninety-five-year-old Wu Mengchao, a founding father of China’s hepatobiliary surgery, and 83-year-old Liu Jiaxiang, a traditional Chinese medicine oncologist, were among those on the list.
